1. Who We Are

IslamicInfo.org ("IslamicInfo", "we", "us") is a free educational platform for authentic Islamic knowledge. This policy explains what limited information is involved when you use the site, where it lives, and the choices you have.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Some features remember things so the site works the way you left it. This information is stored using your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device — we cannot see it, and it is not transmitted to us:

• Theme preference — your light/dark mode choice.
• Habit Tracker data — habits you create and your completion history.
• Bookmarks — verses, hadiths, and duas you save.
• Content caches — recently loaded verses and prayer times, kept locally so pages load faster.

You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for islamicinfo.org.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• No accounts, passwords, or profiles.
• No advertising and no third-party advertising networks.
• No analytics trackers or tracking cookies.
• No sale or sharing of personal information — we have none to sell.

4. Hosting and Server Logs

IslamicInfo is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like virtually all web hosts, GitHub may record standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operational purposes. This logging is governed by the GitHub Privacy Statement.

5. Third-Party Services the Site Loads

To function, pages request resources from a small number of external services. When your browser makes these requests, those services necessarily receive your IP address:

• Google Fonts — the site's typefaces (Cormorant Garamond, Inter, Amiri) are served by Google.
• Qur'an and prayer-time data services — verse text, translations, and prayer schedules are retrieved from public Islamic data providers.
• Recitation audio — audio files are streamed from a public Qur'anic audio archive.

6. Location for Prayer Times

If you choose to use the "detect my location" feature for prayer times, your browser will ask for your permission first. Coordinates are used only to calculate prayer times for your area and are not stored by us. You can always enter a city manually instead, and you can revoke location permission in your browser settings at any time.

7. Email

If you write to us at hello@islamicinfo.org, we receive your email address and message. We use them only to reply, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

8. Children

IslamicInfo is a general-audience educational site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Changes to This Policy

If our practices change — for example, when new features launch — we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
